ITINERARY
We begin the tour with hotel pickup at the scheduled time and set off to discover Lima on a classic city tour that blends modern life, colonial history, and ancient cultures.
Our journey starts in the modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, two of Lima’s most dynamic neighborhoods. We stop at Kennedy Park, the lively heart of Miraflores, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, art galleries, and local craft shops. We then continue to the Park of Love, where the iconic sculpture “The Kiss” by Víctor Delfín and colorful mosaic benches inspired by Gaudí provide stunning photo opportunities with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
As we drive through the city, we enjoy panoramic views of two remarkable pre-Hispanic monuments that rise unexpectedly among Lima’s modern buildings: the Huaca Pucllana Pyramid and the Huallamarca Pyramid.
Next, we arrive at Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in colonial architecture and centuries of history. We enjoy a guided walking tour around Plaza Mayor, where we see emblematic landmarks such as the Lima Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, Government Palace, Municipal Palace, the Church of San Francisco, and the Convent of Santo Domingo.
We visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, home to the remains of Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Macías. The convent also features an extraordinary library with rare 15th-century books, and its chapter house marks the founding place of San Marcos University, the oldest university in the Americas.
Continuing through the historic center, we step inside Casa Aliaga, one of Lima’s oldest and most fascinating colonial mansions. Still owned by the same family since its construction in 1535, this beautifully preserved residence offers an intimate look at aristocratic life during the Spanish colonial period, with its elegant courtyards, antique furniture, and centuries-old artwork.
After time for photos, we head to our final stop, the Larco Museum, located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Lima. Consistently ranked among the world’s top museums by Tripadvisor, the Larco Museum provides an exceptional introduction to ancient Peru.
We walk up the illuminated pre-Columbian pyramid on which the museum is built and explore its impressive galleries, showcasing masterpieces from Peru’s ancient civilizations. A highlight of the visit is the storage gallery, where thousands of artifacts—depicting faces, tools, animals, fruits, and everyday objects—offer a vivid insight into daily life in ancient times.
At the end of this enriching experience, we return you comfortably to your hotel.
