Discover the Colca Canyon on a day trip from Arequipa. See the Andean condor in its natural habitat at the Condor’s Cross.
ITINERARY
3.00 am We will begin the excursion by picking you up from your hotel, we will start the journey along the Yura highway towards the town of Chivay where we will enjoy breakfast.
We will continue our journey towards the Cruz del Condor, where we will see one of the deepest canyons in the world and the flight of the condor. On the way back we will see the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, beautiful landscape of the valley with its impressive pre-Inca terraces,.
We will pass through different towns (Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque) that have beautiful colonial churches. We will go to the thermal baths where you will have time to relax.
Lunch in Chivay (lunch is not included) and return to Arequipa.
Upon returning we will stop at the Patapampa viewpoint (highest point 4,910 meters above sea level) where we will be able to see the volcanoes (Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca) . After this, we will pass through the tocra wetlands where a diversity of wild birds can be seen.
Pampas Cañahuas: We will observe herds of Alpacas, llamas and vicuñas (part of the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) the beautiful South American camelid with one of the finest fibers in the world.
5:00 pm: Arrival in Arequipa

– Iglesia de Santa Ana
– Cruz del Cóndor y veremos el vuelo de los cóndores
– Baños Termales de Chacapi (Yanque)

– Reserva Nacional Salinas y Aguada Blanca
– Alpacas, vicuñas, huanacos
– Tocrapampa y Bofedales, Patahuas
