Maras & Moray + A day with alpacas

Enjoy a peaceful day immersed in Andean culture and nature with this private tour, featuring a guided walk with alpacas and llamas near Piuray Lake, a visit with local weavers in Chinchero, stunning views of the Sacred Valley, traditional music, a scenic picnic lunch with organic local products, and a visit to Chinchero’s archaeological park and colonial church before returning to Cusco.

We will pick you up from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:20 am and begin our journey to the impressive archaeological site of Moray, where you’ll explore its unique circular terraces once used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory.

We will then continue to the Maras Salt Mines, a stunning landscape of thousands of salt pools still harvested by local families using ancestral techniques.

After visiting Maras and Moray, we will head to Chinchero, an ideal place to connect with authentic Andean culture. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm welcome from local community members who will share their traditional weaving techniques and explain how their beautiful handmade textiles are created.

Next, we will begin a relaxing walk with alpacas and llamas, where you can enjoy the area’s rich biodiversity and peaceful natural surroundings.

Our walk will follow ancient paths, leading us to scenic viewpoints with stunning views of the Sacred Valley. Along the way, we’ll enjoy traditional Andean music, adding a special cultural touch to the experience.

After the walk, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch made with organic local products, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking views.

To conclude the day, we’ll visit Chinchero’s archaeological park and its colonial church, before returning to Cusco.
