Ausangate Trek

From: $1,038.87

One of the most beautiful treks around the South of Peru. During this trek you will be able to see stunning sights such as glaciers, lakes and mountain ranges, as well as many natural hot springs where you can relax after a challeging day of hiking.

You will also be able to see native wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and vizcasas, along with many species of native birds.

Few people dare do this trek therefore you’re unlikely to see many other tourists. It is a challenging trek but worth it if you are looking to feel closer to nature like you have never before.

The best time of year to do this trek is during dry season between May and September.

You can also choose to add a visit to Machu Picchu a day after your trek ends.

We recommend that only experienced hikers do this trek, as well as aclimatising beforehand due to the altitude.
